College Baseball Recruiting Exposure

We built a roster of 18 excellent college prospects from all across western Montana through an intensive, objective, and data-driven player evaluation process. Roster selections were based on skills assessments from high school and summer team coaches, verified performance metrics, 2025 statistics and accolades, 2026 high school statistics, detailed player assessments by coaches, and positional needs. This fall’s roster is comprised of Class of 2027 and extremely talented Class of 2028 athletes. We had 35 players initially recommended by coaches of high school, American Legion, and/or club baseball programs and our coaches had to make some tough roster selection decisions. Kudos to the superb high school athletes that will wear Montana

across their chest on the college baseball stage this fall! Stay tuned for announcements of our rostered players through our social media outlets!

Montana Scout Team was designed to offer a highly unique fall season with a focus on direct exposure to college coaches through games during their fall seasons – and we succeeded with a schedule that includes full days with six JUCO programs in the powerful NWAC, ACCAC, and 3C2A conferences. In addition, we secured two extremely unique opportunities. Here’s an overview of the schedule:

* JUCO Days (Paradise Valley CC, Phoenix College, Allan Hancock College, Treasure Valley CC, Spokane CC, and Big Bend CC): The JUCO days will typically include 2x7-inning games and, in some instances, pre-game workouts on the field with college coaches and full tours by the college coaching staff of the campus, dorms, and athletic facilities. This fall season will give Montana baseball prospects unique exposure to college coaches, a feel for life as a collegiate student-athlete, and a taste of the high level of junior college baseball in the some of the finest JUCO conferences in the Nation.

* Langley Blaze (Sept 11-13): We secured a four-game set against the premier club baseball organization in western Canada that has had 60 of their players taken in the MLB Draft or signed with MLB teams, along with 243 college commits, in their 25-year history. This trip will showcase our Montana talent to Langley Blaze, build relationships with this fantastic organization, and provide our kids with an opportunity to play elite competition at their complex south of Vancouver, BC.

* Cabrillo HS/Dos Pueblos HS (Sept 19): We will play a DH with two strong California HS teams in which the host coaches are inviting multiple D1, D2, NAIA, and JUCO college coaches to scout our players. Dos Pueblos HS has one of the Top 5 players in California’s 2029 class that is on a trajectory to be a first round MLB Draft pick.

* Colton Little: Played at Colorado Mesa University, a D-2 powerhouse, four-year starter, two-time All-RMAC selection; coaching experience with Denver Slammers and Arizona Diamondbacks Fall Scout Team.

* Dylan Spacke: Played at D-1 Long Beach State University as a three-year pitcher; 2019 MLB draft pick, played four years in the Boston Red Sox organization, advancing to the Double-A level.

* Drew DuMont: Played at Southwestern Oregon CC in the NWAC; Mission Valley Mariners Head Coach, American Legion Head Coach of the Year in 2023; Polson HS Assistant Coach, won the 2023 Montana high school state championship.

* Chris Gillette: Played at D-1 UNLV and at one of the perennial JUCO powerhouse in the West, College of Southern Idaho; Kalispell Sluggers Head Coach.
